Powered by a Roots type super charger, Nitromethane fueled engines were placed in front of the driver, using a Fiat body and a short narrow wheel base. In the NHRA and IHRA Fuel Altered drag racing class, no 2 rides are ever the same to make it go straight, which makes the class one of the most exciting classes to watch as a spectator.

So much so that these cars were really wild and caused a lot of chaos to say the least, the NHRA banned the class from all sanctioning events in the 70s. The nostalgic class has now been brought back with tighter safety restrictions and horse power limits and as well as elapsed speed/time limits
